Alex Temblador is the award-winning author of Secrets of the Casa Rosada, which has received awards like the 2019 NACCS Tejas Foco Young Adult Fiction, Middle Grade/ Young Adult Discovery Prize Winner of the 2018 Writers' League of Texas Book Awards, Texas Library Association's TAYSHAS, Kirkus Reviews' Best of YA Books 2018, and a Starred Kirkus Review. In addition to contributing to anthologies like Living Beyond Borders: Growing Up Mexican in America and Speculative Fiction for Dreamers: A Latinx Anthology, Alex's creative pieces have appeared in PALABRITAS, Cigale Literary Magazine, and Colorado Review. Alex received her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Central Oklahoma and lives in Dallas, Texas, working as an award-winning freelance travel and culture writer for outlets like Conde Nast Traveler, National Geographic, Travel + Leisure, Architectural Digest, Dwell, The Daily Beast, Texas Monthly, among many others.
