First and absolutely foremost, I am a wife and mother. But professionally, I am an author of YA fantasy. I started writing stories as soon as I was old enough to write a sentence, and I never stopped (though I have improved). I began working on my trilogy [The Rain Trilogy, holla!] at the age of fourteen. At thirty-one, after many years of growth, trials, love, loss, and ultimately finding myself, I finally wrote "the end." I also published a standalone novel, The Choice, a deeply personal story that appeals to women of all ages. In 2013 I was a recipient of the Oklahoma Next Generation Under 30 award: an award given to entrepreneurs under the age of thirty who demonstrate talent, drive, and service to their communities.
