AlzAuthors was born in 2015 when three daughters of dementia bonded over Twitter to share their stories and raise awareness of Alzheimer's and dementia. Our mission was to silence the stigma surrounding these diseases, and to offer a helping hand to those on the dementia journey. Today, there are eight of us across the United States and Canada furthering our mission in a variety of ways with the help of our dedicated Associates.

In 2016, we launched a website, AlzAuthors.com. Our purpose is to vet books for caregivers and others looking for knowledge, comfort, and support. Through our own personal caregiving experiences we found that the most relevant resources to our situation may be far flung across the internet and difficult to quickly find. We hope to help harried and worried caregivers, and others who support those living with dementia, access resources to aid their journey.

Our authors' resources serve as caregiver handbooks, guides through the disease process, or a catalyst for much needed conversation. This includes memoir, non-fiction, fiction, Young Adult fiction, children's books, blogs, podcasts and film. We are 300+ strong and growing!
