Amber Cabral is an Inclusion and Equity Strategist focused on helping organizations of various sizes and across many industries achieve sustainable leadership and inclusion objectives. She is the founder and principal consultant at Cabral Co., where her work has touched thousands of people, including Fortune 500 executives and senior leaders at global and multinational organizations. Amber is best known for delivering respectful, authentic, and no-nonsense training, strategies, and content that is rich with simple but impactful steps and eye-opening insights that inspire behavior change. Amber holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in sociology from Wayne State University and has a master’s in organizational leadership and management from Siena Heights University, where she completed her thesis research project on andragogy (adult learning theory). She was formerly a lead for corporate diversity and inclusion initiatives at Blue Care Network of Michigan, where she spent eight years in service and support roles of progressive responsibility. She later served as a leader in Global Talent Management and a senior strategist on the Global Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion team at Walmart Stores, Inc. She has experience with developing and executing company-wide training and strategies to achieve transformational culture change and to embed diversity objectives and inclusive behaviors into the employee life cycle. Today, through Cabral Co., Amber partners with organizations that see the value in improving representation, education, access, and opportunity for marginalized people to bring those goals to life. Amber’s passion for culture and people development extends beyond her professional role as well. She serves as the board chair of Brown Girls Do®, best known for its ballet arm, Brown Girls Do Ballet®, an organization committed to promoting diversity in the arts, such as ballet, by providing annual scholarships, a mentor network, dancer resources, and community programs to empower young women and girls. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Amber currently resides in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. In her free time, she writes articles focused on race, culture, and working-class life, hosts a podcast called You Can Have Whatever You Want, and consumes copious hours of audiobooks. She also loves traveling to explore the history and cultural identity of people and nations around the globe.
