Amber Hatch is a writer, parent and childminder. She has practised Buddhist meditation for eight years both in daily practice and on retreat, and has worked hard to integrate a mindfulness practice with parenting. "Mindfulness for Parents" (Watkins, 2017) draws on this experience and provides a personal and practical guide to the challenges and opportunities of meditating alongside family life. "The Art of Silence" (Piatkus, 2017) is a broader look at how we can all benefit from more silence in our lives. Amber has also written two guided mindful colouring books, illustrated by her husband Alex Ogg. Amber also runs parenting classes and wrote "Nappy Free Baby: a practical guide to baby-led potty training from birth" (Vermilion 2015), which offers a radical yet intuitive way to meet babies' toileting needs. Amber lives in Oxford with her husband and three children.
