Amy Lisewski is the Founder and Artistic Director of Finest City Improv, created to entertain, inspire and bring joy and laughter to the city of San Diego. For performers and students, loyal fans and first-time visitors, the area’s leading improv theater promises a playful and return-worthy experience. She mentors an experienced and dedicated team of instructors teaching improv classes for beginner to advanced students. She also leads a bold and engaging corporate training program that improves communication skills, creates stronger teams, and fosters innovation. She travels the country as a Vistage speaker to demonstrate how CEOs and key executives can use the principles of improvisation to improve their leadership skills. She is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory and has trained with dozens of top improv teachers from all over the country. Before embarking on her improv journey she worked in video production and information management. With a master’s in library and information science, she helped biotech and high-tech companies improve their internal communications for over 14 years before opening FCI. As an alumna of Teach For America, she is dedicated to creating opportunities for lifelong learning. Amy is also a foster mother and an avid sailor, taking risks at home and at sea.
