Ankit Kapoor is a Police Officer in the New York City Police Department. In his third year in the NYPD, he enrolled in evening law school. Originally an immigrant from India, he came to the United States in 1999 and has lived in New York ever since.

He decided to enroll in law school while in the NYPD because he felt he could contribute even more as an attorney. While in law school, he secured a summer associate position at a corporate law firm in Manhattan. Seeing how he put himself in a position to succeed, he decided to write a short book to helps others be in the same position. His first book, Law School: Get in a Position to Win, was written to help people make a more informed decision about enrolling in law school, especially those who are thinking about it on a part time basis.
