Anthony Barrett is a Marine vet, outdoorsman, and the author of Master the World of Edible Wild Plants. His work deals with outdoor survival, equipping readers with the skills they need to see them through any scenario where they can no longer rely on commercial resources. His firm belief that mankind and nature can live in harmony shines through his writing as he demystifies a more natural way of living. Anthony’s entire life has been an expression of love for the outdoors. Having joined the Marine Corps at the age of 18, he left military life behind and is now an avid outdoorsman, maintaining the discipline and skills he learned. His experience over two decades as a survivalist has cemented his belief that mankind has strayed far from its roots, leaving people without essential survival skills and taking them far away from the greatest source of life and purpose: nature. Anthony is passionate about giving people the skills they need to take responsibility for their own survival. He is well aware of the dangers of the wild, but his belief that proper education can make those dangers more easily navigable drives him to share his skills with others. He prioritizes passion, realism, and simplicity in his teaching and believes that with the proper guidance, everyone has what it takes to live a more natural, independent, and sustainable life. Anthony describes himself as a lover of both nature and humans and is passionate about bringing the two together again. He loves nothing more than spending time in the wild and still enjoys the camping trips that sparked his passion for outdoor life as a child. His goal is to pass on generations of knowledge and wisdom to those ready to learn.
