Ben is an award-winning author, and a graduate of the University of San Francisco, Global University (ICI), Berean Institute, and attendee of Golden Gate Theological Seminary. Following a tour in Viet Nam with the US Army, and a decade as a police officer in the San Francisco Bay Area, Ben was licensed and ordained by the Evangelical Church Alliance in 1984. He served as a volunteer Chaplain at San Quentin State Prison, and as Police Chaplin in the Sacramento Valley. He is a trained Hostage and Critical Incident Negotiator, and counselor for those in Law Enforcement. He has spoken at churches, conferences, seminars, retreats, global missions, and authored editorials, articles, plays, and skits. He has produced and hosted a weekly radio show reaching the greater Bay Area, and also founded and pastored New Hope Christian Fellowship, a nondenominational, evangelical, Christian church.
