Barbara Rumi is a multi-linguist who was born in the Netherlands.  In high school she made up her mind; she wanted to do something with languages. She applied to a college in Business & Languages that gave her the opportunity to get her first experience of living abroad and learning foreign languages.  Multinational environments became the “fil rouge” in her professional and personal life. From her birthplace in the Netherlands, she moved to Italy, to the historical town of Varese, where she lived for ten years. There she met her Argentinian husband and shared her love for traveling and learning about new cultures and cuisines. They became grateful parents of a little girl. That was the start of a multilingual family and Barbara’s freelance career as a travel writer.  Today she lives with her husband, daughter, and son in Michigan, USA.
