I was born in the small fishing village of Gloucester, Massachusetts. Teaching has always been my passion and for the past 30 years I have been teaching Pre-K to 5th Grade. I started my career as the Principal of 3 successful centers who produced children who were educationally advanced. I wanted all children to be able to utilize our teaching methods and curriculum and thrive like the students in our schools. I hired the best illustrators and graphic designers that created engaging, fun educational materials. This was a huge step for us and brought our dreams to reality. Shortly after, children around the world were using The Adventures of Scuba Jack. Our combined expertise of staff includes Physicians, Early Childhood Educators, Occupational Therapists, Special Needs Educators and Social Workers that ensure our experience is a highly educational and highly engaging for children. Research shows that when children actively participate in learning, the knowledge cements to the brain. This retention helps with later retrieval, and success in Kindergarten and beyond. Throughout my career, I have written children's stories, activity books, chapter books, DVD's and curriculum.
