Award-winning writer, actress, director, and producer Bever-leigh Banfield is an accomplished storyteller on television, in movies, onstage, and on the page. Her writings include magazine articles and celebrity interviews, and with an M.F.A. from the Yale University School of Drama and a B.A. from Stanford, she has performed in productions from sitcoms to Shakespeare and is often recognized as author Alex Haley's ancestor, Cynthia, in Roots: The Next Generations and T.C., the plumber's helper, on Good Times. Her voice-overs are heard in films, commercials, cartoons, and her You Can Change the World: Be a Change Wizard and Get It Like You Like It audiobook. Bever-leigh loves to read, paint, design, bake, and walk at the beach (really!). Born and raised in New York City, she’s lived elsewhere in America and in France, and the Caribbean, and traveled in Africa, South America, and across the US.
