Born and raised in a small town in Kentucky, I grew up in an environment where domestic violence was often ignored and hidden. My family endured years of physical, emotional, verbal, and sexual abuse under the control of an abusive father and husband. For too long, silence and fear defined our lives. Today, I share my story to break that silence. My work is dedicated to giving a voice to survivors, raising awareness about domestic violence, and offering hope to anyone who feels trapped in similar circumstances. Through my writing, I want to remind others that you are not alone—there is help, there is healing, and there is life after abuse. This memoir is a testimony of survival, resilience, and the power of hope.
