I've been writing for as long as I can remember, building a successful 20-year marketing & communications career. But my passion has always been fiction. I've attended creative writing classes and writers' workshops at institutions including the Minnesota Writer's Workshop, The Loft Literary Center, the University of Minnesota, the University of Wisconsin-Madison (where CHARLIE’S MIRROR is set), and North Hennepin Community College—from which I earned a Certificate in Creative Writing in 2004. I am a member of Mystery Writers of America and Sisters in Crime. I live just outside Minneapolis, Minnesota (where SISTER LOST is set) with my two kids, two cats, and probably a partridge in a pear tree.
