Carol Cooper is an author, journalist, and doctor. She graduated in medicine from Cambridge University, helped by working in supermarkets and writing music reviews. An award-winning non-fiction author, she is now also a novelist. "One Night at the Jacaranda" was followed by "Hampstead Fever" which WHSmith chose for a major promo. Her latest novel “The Girls from Alexandria” blends the exoticism of the “Alexandria Quartet” with the intrigue of “Elizabeth is Missing”. Carol's experience as a family doctor injects her fiction with a keen understanding of human nature, finely observed medical details, and irreverent wit. In her other life, she teaches medical students, writes for Britain's best-selling newspaper, and was elected President of the Guild of Health Writers in 2014. She's involved with the Twins Trust and gives talks to parents of multiples which complement her popular book "Twins and Multiple Births.” Best of all, she has three amazing sons.
