For over twenty-five years, Caroline has had the pleasure of assisting new mothers, growing families, and breastfeeding babies. Along with being a lactation consultant in private practice, she leads a weekly support group for moms and their babies through six months of age. For nearly two decades at a community hospital, she has taught prenatal breastfeeding classes. She works among a team of lactation consultants in a thriving postpartum unit. As a nurse practitioner in a pediatrician's office, she integrates her knowledge and skills from nutrition and lactation in providing care to infants and children. With a warm and balanced teaching style, essential principles of getting breastfeeding right are expressed. Her integrative ideas in applying principles of skin-to-skin care are revealed in the book and have led her to speak internationally. As a registered dietitian, she shares infant feeding guidelines within Latching Well. While writing monthly breastfeeding columns, she won the Silver Publication Award for Parenting Magazine. Caroline's work with new mothers and families keeps her up to date with their greatest concerns. She is passionate about teaching breastfeeding and helping families get off to a great start.
