Dr. Cary Yurkiw, DC practices Chiropractic in Kelowna, British Columbia, does locums for Chiropractors in Western Canada, and has a consulting company for doctors and clinics called True North Practice Management. He has always dreamed of writing a book and published his book on Back Pain on March 5, 2019. He plans to write another book on Neck Pain, Whiplash and Headaches. Dr. Cary has over 25 years of experience in Chiropractic, Health Care, and Practice Management. Dr. Cary graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto after attending the University of Winnipeg for his pre-med sciences. Dr. Cary has learned and used a variety of techniques including hands on and instrument adjusting to help people with Back Pain, Neck Pain, and Headaches. He also helps people with joint conditions including shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and wrists. Dr. Cary does prescribe Orthotics in his clinic. He offers Custom Compression stockings as well. ​ Dr. Cary has a special interest to help athletes of any age. He was inspired to become a Chiropractor as a teenager when knee problems were holding him back from achieving his goals and dreams of playing hockey. A chiropractor and hockey coach inspired him to break through to a higher level by providing Chiropractic Care to heal his knees and coaching to motivate him to get conditioning to make him faster and stronger. That changed Dr. Cary's life as he realized he could achieve anything with the right knowledge, help, and discipline. Dr. Yurkiw offers consultations and treatments to athletes of all ages to overcome their obstacles and achieve their goals in their sport. Dr. Cary is an avid runner having completed over 15 half and full marathons. In 2018 he ran the Rock and Roll San Francisco and Los Angeles marathons.
