Catrien Ross moved to Japan more than twenty-five years ago, embarking on a contemplative life as a mystic, spiritual teacher, and sudden genius artist. She is the founder of Energy Doorways, her creative and spiritual center at the foot of Mount Fuji and the indie publisher for all her new books in English and Japanese. Catrien Ross books include:Hikari no Uzu, Kenjo no Mezame, Still I Dream of Java, 36 Moments at Mount Fuji, Ki As Metaphysics, and Sudden Genius Universe (see www.energydoorways.com and www.catrienross.com) In 2013 Catrien Ross experienced the startling phenomenon of sudden genius, an abrupt onset of original paintings and piano compositions. With no previous study whatsoever in painting or piano, within a few months she erupted some 200 paintings and over 50 original piano compositions (see www.catrienross.com). She lives in a centuries-old kominka in the mountains where she continues to express life as multicultural, multifaceted, and multidimensional. Catrien Ross is also the author of Haunted Japan:Exploring the World of Japanese Yokai, Ghosts and the Paranormal, a Tuttle Publishing book, reprinted anew in 2020 and available on Amazon. Her indie books can be purchased via her websites or her online shop, Catrien Ross Japan (see https://catrienrossjapan.com).
