Chris Bates stumbled into authorship through his passion for coaching. As former Lead Health Coach under Dr. Paul Saladino at Heart & Soil, he realized the “why” behind health pursuits were often rooted in the desire to find or nourish the right relationship. After divorce and moving to Austin, Texas, he began to truly date for the first time. That led to The Dating Edge, a book for men who want to date with purpose, confidence, and honesty while leading with integrity in every part of life. When he’s not writing, speaking, or coaching, you’ll find Chris hiking with his dogs, spending time practicing what he preaches with his brilliant girlfriend, making bad puns with good friends, losing at Dutch Blitz or Settlers of Catan, or catching catching rays of sunshine somewhere in Austin.
