Christopher H. McKinney Sr. is the founder and CEO of 10X Leadership Consulting (10XLC). 10XLC is a company that specializes in strategy, leadership, and culture development, change and conflict management, improving collaboration, and breaking down silos. 10XLC also provides support in identifying teamwork challenges and process improvements. Chris is also the co-author of the book “Triumphant Transitions” which will be released Aug. 3, 2022, by Trilogy Publishing. He also has provided content for Amazon Best Seller P.E.R.S.I.S.T.E.N.C.E. by Lefford Fate and Ericka Kelly. He formerly served as the CEO for the Santee-Lynches Regional Council of Governments (COG). There he oversaw a $8.1 million budget and all assistance provided to a 4-county region in South Carolina, consisting of 12 cities and towns with a population of approximately 223,000 people. In this role he increased grant revenue 167% over the previous 10 years, brought in $6.8M in 1-year (agency first) and eliminated the gender pay gap among other accomplishments. He also led a variety of successful economic development and infrastructure improvement projects during his tenure. Prior to that he served over 30 years in the United States Air Force. In his last assignment, McKinney, served as the Installation Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 20th Fighter Wing at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, where he was an executive advisor to the Wing Commander and the installation’s Senior Enlisted Leader. His military service includes four combat tours of duty in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iraq, and Afghanistan. A native of San Antonio Texas, he has a graduate degree in addition to two other degrees. He is married to Danya and they have a blended family of six children and four grandchildren.
