Clare Jackson is co-founder of GreenFootprint, a sustainable landscape design and arborist business in New Zealand. Clare and partner Tim approach gardening from an ecological perspective, treating each landscape as a whole by using permaculture and organic principles. Clare’s own edible backyard keeps the family in seasonal produce and preserves. in 2012 GreenFootprint established a multicultural community allotment garden in Hamilton, teaching over one hundred novice gardeners to be successful organic food growers. Clare has a degree in Plant Science from Massey University and a Diploma in Teaching from the University of Canterbury. Having gathered 30 years of sustainable gardening know-how, Clare decided to share GreenFootprint’s tips and secrets in a series of books published in collaboration with editor and food writer Alice Bulmer.
