Daniel James Branagan is a PhD scientist, who has spoken at professional conferences around the world, a visionary who has directed novel award winning research, and an entrepreneur who has transitioned his scientific discoveries into multiple high tech material companies. He is one who readily admits that his talents and abilities are a gift from God. The Lord says, “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me” (Jer. 9:23–24). With “testimony in his heart” (1 John 5:10) and through understanding gained from knowing God, Dr. Branagan wrote Understanding Manna, through systematically examining Scripture to explain God’s Revelation to Mankind. The goals of writing this book are “setting forth the truth plainly” (2 Cor. 4:2), and to testify to the good news of God’s salvation “so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope” (1 Thess. 4:13).
