Daniel Peak was born and raised in the Peak District, which has since been named after him. Daniel studied philosophy at Oxford University, sold the Big Issue magazine and worked in a slaughterhouse before winning a BBC writing competition and going on to become a full-time television scriptwriter. Since then, Daniel has written over a hundred television shows, including four series of Horrible Histories, ten series of Not Going Out, and three series of the record-breaking Sky Comedy Code 404. His writing has won a Royal Television Society Award, an International Emmy and two BAFTAs. Little Horror is his first novel. Daniel lives in Stockport with his wife and daughters and a dog called Bertie. Daniel enjoys playing the ukulele, although no one else enjoys him doing it. Follow him @iDanielPeak
