Laureato in Lettere, insegna a Roma. Le sue prime pubblicazioni risalgono alla fine degli anni Ottanta con saggi sulla mitologia celtica. Ha esordito nella narrativa nel 2008 con il romanzo "Confessioni di una mente criminale", Newton Compton Editori, da cui è stato tratto l'omonimo spettacolo teatrale, per la regia di Marcello Cotugno, rappresentato tra l'altro al Todi Arte Festival 2009, con la direzione artistica di Maurizio Costanzo, e nelle carceri romane di Regina Coeli e Rebibbia, con il patrocinio del Garante dei Diritti dei Detenuti del Lazio. Ha collaborato alla realizzazione di tre CD come coautore di musiche e testi. Nel 2007 è stata messa in scena la commedia musicale, di cui è autore del testo e delle musiche, "Era l'estate dell'amore" per la regia di Claudio "Greg" Gregori. Ha lavorato come assistente alla cattedra di Storia del Cinema presso l'Università "La Sapienza" di Roma. È autore musicale e teatrale. Nel 2019 è stato pubblicato il suo nuovo romanzo "Il cadavere del lago", Newton Compton Editori. An Arts graduate, Pennone teaches in Rome. His first published works, essays on Celtic mythology, date back to the eighties. In 2008, his first novel, "Confessioni di una mente criminale" (Confessions of a Criminal Mind), Newton Compton Editori, was published from which has been adapted the theatrical production of the same name, staged at the Todi Art Festival 2009, under the artistic direction of Maurizio Costanzo, and in the Roman prisons Regina Coeli and Rebibbia. He has recorded three CDs, sharing lyrics and musical credits as a co-author. In 2007, a production of his musical comedy "Era l'estate dell'amore" (That was the Summer of Love) was performed in Rome, directed by Greg, with Pennone as writer of both the script and music. Since 2006, he has taught History of Cinema at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza'. In 2019, his new novel, "Il cadavere del lago" (The corpse of the lake), Newton Compton Editori, was published.
