Author of seven novels; A New Beginning in Coventry Beach: A Larissa Carpenter Mystery, Lust & Distrust: Book 2, and Fatal Misunderstanding: Book 3 in the Larissa Carpenter Mystery series, The Legend of Erin Foster, Life Is Full Of Surprises, The Origin of Deanna Dorak and Aneesha's Prophecy, Darlene is currently working on another Larissa Carpenter Mystery and a follow-up to The Legend of Erin Foster. Like most young people Darlene wanted to leave her hometown for greener, more exciting pastures. However, almost born on the beach, the desire to smell the salty aroma of sea air, to feel the warmth of the sun and sand between her toes always drew her back home. She and her spouse of 30 plus years live near Darlene’s hometown of Daytona Beach, FL, with their rescue cat, Keke. Darlene grew up painfully shy but realized to be successful as an author she had to ‘get over it’ and talk to people. So, she joined Toastmasters and achieved her Competent Toastmaster Certificate.
