Deborah McCarthy has a passion for Egyptology and Ancient History. She's worked for the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. She received her law degree from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. She went on to practice law in fields as diverse as Entertainment Law and Family Law. Deborah, in her earlier law career, is proud to have worked alongside Manhattan Family Court Judge, Ret., Judith Sheindlin, who went on in her own career to become the noted and much beloved television personality, Judge Judy. "The Time Portal" is Deborah's first novel, co-authored with Joe Corso. She resides with her husband in Scarsdale, NY., where she's hard at work on her second novel; a satiric comedy involving the not too serendipitous meeting of a narcissist and a porta-potty.
