A Denver-based sports + fitness writer, Dimity McDowell has covered everything from the Women's World Cup to the World Adventure Racing Championships. Now that she has two kids, one husband and one dog, she's more desk-bound, but she continues to write for publications that range from Runner's World to Real Simple. As an unnatural but passionate runner, she runs as much for her mental sanity--and endorphin boost--as she does to keep her glutes fitting into her jeans.
