Dorma McGruder was born in Detroit, Michigan, her Father a Korean War Marine Sergeant, her Mother a Registered Nurse. Her inborn gift and love for public speaking pushed her to the forefront. At 6 years old she recited Lincoln's Gettysburg Address in front of over 100,000 for Dr. King's I Have A Dream speech in Detroit. Home was often violent and her escapes were writing, dreaming, praying and practicing speaking. Her first novel "One Bad Decision," won the Spirit of Detroit Award. "Thank God for Closed Doors" "Prayer Is Not Enough" "Secret Bleeding Silent Screaming" all were borne from Dorma's personal experiences of learning to go inside herself, find her courage, keep moving forward and help others do the same. Her works, teach, heal, empower - Men and Women from ages 7 to 90 years old.
