EJ Thorpe is a South African author of legacy-driven historical fiction, known for crafting stories that blend emotional depth, generational memory, and quiet heroism. Drawing on a deep love for history and decades of experience in high pressure tactical environments, his writing is grounded, cinematic, and steeped in realism.

His work centers on the Thorne Legacy, a sweeping multi-book saga that traces a family line through the British Empire, the Boer War, World wars I and II, and beyond. With richly drawn characters and a restrained, powerful narrative voice, EJ Thorpe invites readers into a world where duty, silence and sacrifice echo through time.

EJ Thorpe lives in Yzerfontein on the West Coast of South Africa. He writes to honour those who carry legacies quietly - and to leave one behind of his own.
