Dr. Elisabeth "Eli" Sheff is the foremost academic and legal expert on polyamory in the United States, and the worldwide expert on polyamorous families with children. Sheff's research has focused on sexual minorities and their families, and her book "The Polyamorists Next Door: Inside Multiple-Partner Relationships and Families" explains the findings from her 15-year study of polyamorous families with children. An expert witness, educational consultant, and public speaker, Sheff is the CEO and Director of Legal Services at Sheff Consulting Group (SCG), a think-tank of experts providing legal and educational services for members of diverse subcultures and and those who need to know about them. From transgender or non-monogamous folks to clinical herbalism and home-birth, SCG consultants provide educational and legal consultation regarding unconventional or underserved populations.
