She has worked mainly in the field of insurance investigations, making her the real-life version of Sue Grafton’s Kinsey Millhone; as such, when the second book in the Madison Kelly Mystery Series was nominated for the Sue Grafton Memorial Award at the 2022 Edgar Awards, life seemed to have come full circle. The thrilling mystery series is set against the coffee houses and surfer culture of San Diego.
