Hi, my name is Elizabeth Haran and I'm an Australian writer. I write novels set all over Australia, in exciting locations like Kangaroo Island, Echuca on the River Murray, the Flinders Ranges and the Clare Valley, just to name a few. My stories are woven around exciting times in Australia's history, so not only do my readers enjoy a romantic story, but they learn about Australia's past and our pioneers. My female characters are always strong women, but they have a lot to contend with before they find happiness and true love. I was born in Zimbabwe when it was known as Southern Rhodesia and migrated to Australia as a young girl. I loved Africa and it will always have a place in my heart, but I also love this big brown land we lovingly refer to as Oz. We have wonderful beaches, snow-covered mountains, the tropics and a mountain range that goes from one end of the country to the other, separating the coast from Australia's rich, red heart. There is so much to write about in Australia so I can't imagine ever running out of material. I hope you enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Happy reading. Elizabeth.
