In the spring of 2023, Emilie self-published her first picture book, The Art of Reality: Welcome to Your Life. The Art of Reality is a foundational book for a series focusing on shame-free skill-building for all ages. Emilie has a bachelor's degree in French and journalism and is currently pursuing her master's degree in creative writing. Emilie lives in an old house in southern Minnesota with her husband, three children, three cats, and two dogs.
