Emily Rubin's debut novel, Stalina, was a pick from the Amazon Debut Novel Award Contest and was published by Mariner Books. Her fiction and essays have been published in the Red Rock Review, IceFloe Press, Good Works Reveiw, Ghost City Review, Confrontations, HAPPY, Poets and Writers Magazine, and the NY Observer. She is the recipient of the 1st Sarah Verdone Writers Award and is a past nominee for the Pushcart Prize. Rubin runs the Write Treatment Workshops for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers in Mount Sinai Hospitals in NYC. In 2005, she began producing Dirty Laundry: Loads of Prose, a reading series that takes place in Laundromats around the United States. She as an MFA in creative writing from the Writer's Foundry at St. Joseph's University, Brooklyn. She lives in the Hudson Valley with her husband, Leslie, and their dog, Sebastian. www.emilyrubin.net
