Her books have been shortlisted for the McIlvanney Prize for Scottish Crime Book of the Year, shortlisted for the Scottish Crime Debut of the Year and longlisted for the Crime Writers Association John Creasey (New Blood) Dagger Award. Emma is founder member of the Caledonia Crime Collective, a group of emerging Scottish crime fiction writers.
