When I was 13 or 14, in the early 80s, I saw one of my friends reading Terry Brook's The Sword of Shannara. I remember the cool cover from the Brothers Hildebrandt. That book got passed around from friend to friend. When I finally got my greedy hands on the book one day during lunch, I began to read it, then continued on the bus ride and then late into the night under the covers with a small penlight. It was the longest books my 13 year old self had ever read. Once I finished the book, I remember feeling disappointed that it was done, but pleased to find out that the lawyer turned writer had a sequel out. I had been sucked into the world of fantasy and science fiction. Now I am not only a reader of science fiction and fantasy, but a published writer of it as well. The first two books of the Immersion Online series are now available. The final two books of the tetralogy will be released a month apart sometime in the Spring of 2022.
