Dr G Neil Martin is Hon. Professor of Psychology and former Head of Psychology at Regent's University London. He is a Life Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an associate of the Recreational Fear Lab at Aarhus University. He has written around 13 books including the introductory textbook Psychology (Pearson Education, now in its 7th edition), Psychology- A Beginner's Guide (Oneworld), The Neuropsychology of Smell & Taste (Taylor & Francis), and The Psychology of Comedy published by Routledge in 2021. An editorial board member of the Annals of Improbable Research and Consulting Editor for Teaching of Psychology, he was Associate Editor of The Psychologist, contributor to The Oxford Companion to Food, and reviewer and books editor for Deadpan Magazine, the UK's first (and last) magazine about comedy and comedians. He has written for THES, The Sunday Telegraph,The Times, Restaurant Magazine, and others. His first book, Human Neuropsychology, is available in English, Polish, Greek, Italian and Arabic.
