Her first book, Maui Misadventures, didn't exactly make the bestseller lists. Undeterred, she wrote You Can Fix Your Life (in Theory), a cheerful guide to failure, overthinking, bad habits, unreliable animals, and the general difficulty of being a person.

She believes in persistence, mostly because stopping would require admitting what happened.

Her interests include writing, revising, regretting revisions, starting new projects before finishing old ones, and occasionally mistaking chaos for productivity.

Results are not guaranteed.

Neither is improvement.

But she writes.
