Hargrove Perth is an award winning author in the paranormal genre who uses the world around her as inspiration for her novels. Inspired by the great authors of our times to create memorable characters, she is also inspired by the epic faery-tales related to her as a child. She currently resides somewhere in the Midwest with her husband and her adored black cat, in a nondescript little house filled with unlimited dreams, and the open invitation for a vampire to visit any time they like.

Editorial Comment from JA Stone, Author of Eye of the Equifade—

So many writers today study and practice for years to accomplish what Hargrove Perth has done with the English Language. Her unique style of prose seems to defy time. Reading her work opens a portal to London or New York during an era when swords and pistols worked side-by-side, steam filled the air and horses clip-clopped on cobbled streets aside looming factories. Victorian, Edwardian, Gothic or turn of the century; labeled by your will, when reading Perth’s novels you can smell the streets, feel the coarse wool on your skin, and hear the carriages as they pass by.

It is a thrilling experience, a haunting mist in the back of your mind whispering to you—these are the elucidations of a Spirit. It is as though the soul of Jane Austen is peeking through this modern day Author’s eyes and influencing her compositions, or George Eliot somehow found a time machine and is alive and well, typing away on a laptop in Mid-America. As you read, the question burns: How can she know these minute details? One must wonder if it is truly possible for a writer to delineate the contents of a Victorian home so lucid and accurately…unless they had actually been there.

This is only one aspect of Hargrove Perth’s storytelling, a defining skill that sets her apart from the others. Her literary range is eclectic, drawing from many sources and styles. Paranormal, Mystery, Steam-Punk, Romance and Horror are all enhanced greatly by her touch.

Contemporary writers emulate and aspire, rehashing Grimm and Stoker like passionless trope robots. Meanwhile, the Spirits of the Victorian Authors have placed their confidence in the able hands of Hargrove Perth.
