Hari Ravichandran has had an entrepreneurial spirit since he was a kid growing up in India. His father desperately wanted him to build a better future for himself, and at fifteen, he earned a scholarship to live with an American host family and attend high school. He then defied the odds and earned his ticket to stay in the United States when he was accepted to college. He studied engineering and always loved technology, so at twenty, in true Silicon Valley style, he started a web hosting company out of his garage with his own capital and grew it into a publicly traded company with an enterprise value of approximately $3.5 billion and more than 3,500 employees worldwide. With an established track record of founding and investing in successful businesses in technology and security, Hari founded Aura in 2017 to simplify digital security for consumers. He has since grown Aura into a company valued at $2.5 billion, dedicated to creating a safer internet for everyone. Hari is named on over forty approved or pending technology patents, was named Ernst & Young’s 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year (New England) and was also named to Forbes’ list of “America’s Most Powerful CEOs 40 and Under” in 2014 and 2015. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania. He also earned a BS in computer engineering from Mississippi State University.
