After graduating from university, I spent several years travelling and searching for a way of life that I wanted to settle into - that would hopefully feel purposeful and worthwhile. It was in the 'Giant Sequoia' forests of northern California that I began writing my first novel, amassing a chaotic pile of notes and loose papers that eventually formed the foundation of 'The Roots of Elmore's Existence' - which was published in 2016. Following this, I then went on to spend several years working on projects pertaining to the outdoors, becoming an advocate of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and developing an ongoing literary project at the UN in Geneva, in 2017. I now live and work in Malaysia and am currently working on a second novel and a series of children's stories. Alongside this, I also deliver creative workshops to young people, sharing knowledge and experience and trying to help them to develop their own love for story-telling.
