Heather Wallace is a self-published children’s author, mom, and Christian who is passionate about creating books that celebrate diversity, highlight the beauty of different abilities, and promote inclusion. With a background in special education, she is dedicated to making her books accessible to as many readers as possible. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, Heather worked as a special education teacher and is currently working toward becoming a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. She has a strong passion for inclusive education and presented research at the Council for Exceptional Children 2017 annual conference. As a mom, Heather’s writing is rooted in her love for children, her belief in the power of storytelling, and her desire to make a positive impact. When she’s not writing, she enjoys spending time with family, working in the garden, and getting lost in a good book.
