Heidi Shertok is an Orthodox Jewish woman, an international romance author, breast cancer survivor, and a member of the חֶבְרָא קַדִּישָׁא. She hikes in heels, prefers beer over wine, and owns a psychopathic Bernedoodle who has transformed her once-beautiful garden into a serial killer’s paradise. She is the author of Unorthodox Love, a critically acclaimed and publisher-recognized bestseller praised by Kirkus Reviews, Publishers Weekly, and Library Journal. Unorthodox Love has been distributed across the UK and Commonwealth, including a Portuguese-language edition. Her second novel, Match Me If You Can, is also published internationally. She’s a founding member of Artists Against Antisemitism (AAA), and a contributor to the USA Today bestselling anthology On Being Jewish Now. Her essays and stories have appeared in Kveller, Hadassah Magazine, The Good Men Project, Medium, and TC Jewfolk. In addition to all of the above, she also serves as Head of Community Engagement and Partnerships at Jewish Joy, and is an administer of the Jewish Joy Book Club.
