Hope Madden is an award-winning writer, filmmaker, and film critic based in Columbus, Ohio. Her first novella, Roost, published in March of 2022 with Off Limits Press. Her short story “Aggrieved” is featured in the 2022 feminist horror anthology Incubate, from Speculation Publications. She’s had three shorts published in 2024 and 2025 by Wicked Shadow Press: “Meat” in the anthology Flash of the Dead: Requiem; “Clown Wanted” in their seasonal anthology, Flash of the Dead: Halloween; and “Customer Service” in their 2025 anthology, Petting Boo. Also in 2025, her short story “Junk Food” will appear in the Arbutus Studios anthology Consumed, and “Birds and Beasts” is featured in the Speculation Publications anthology Vampire Hunters: An Incomplete Record of Personal Accounts. Her second novella, Killer Pictures, is out in 2025 from World Castle Publishing. Her first feature film, Obstacle Corpse, is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
