A U.S. Navy veteran and Philadelphia native of Puerto Rican and Filipino ancestry, Rodriguez creates art from the collision of street poetry, sci-fi visions, Zen absurdity, punk attitude, and spiritual mischief. Creator of The Church of the Existential Teatime, he brews a strange blend of philosophy, humor, ritual, and creative anarchy where enlightenment wears combat boots and questions everything—including itself. A survivor of personal storms and a relentless storyteller, Rodriguez turns broken places into mythic landscapes. His work explores identity, recovery, madness, memory, injustice, and the beautiful confusion of being alive. The Bulletproof Poet doesn’t write from a pedestal—he writes from the pavement, the battlefield, the dreamscape, and the cracked cup left behind after the revolution.
