Jacinto Rey was born in Spain. A polyglot and unrepentant traveler, he has lived in recent years in Germany, Switzerland, France and Spain. His first novel, The Surgeon of The Indies, showed the heads and tails of Spanish colonization in America. The Last Client is the first installment in a police series dedicated to the Dutch inspector Cristina Molen, succeeded by The Man from Cairo and The Mask of the Dragon.
