His other books include 'Men Who Walk with Dragons' and 'Cruising with Mom and Dad' (written as Jack Hovenier). Jake has mostly resided in or near Bellingham, Washington since 1970. Jake Dekker is a pen name that was adopted by Jack Hovenier (Dekker was his grandmother's maiden name) to preserve his son’s anonymity when 'One Kid at a Time' was published in 2012.
