James Crawford, novelist, amateur astronomer, and US Navy veteran, combines a love of stargazing, naval history, and space travel technology to bring you stories of futuristic adventure with the accurate feel of military life in a setting as vivid and exotic as the universe itself. The desire to recreate a sailor’s life in a warship among the stars drove the creation of "Seed of Aldebaran," where the discovery of a killer virus pushes a fearful crew to mutiny. The success of "Seed of Aldebaran" prompted him to expand the Alpha Centauri binary star setting and characters to create the "AlCent Sagas" series, where we follow the further adventures of Captain James Van Wert to root out a dangerous insurgency that threatens to overthrow the peaceful civilization there. And having spent time as a single dad protecting his children from the effects of a bitter divorce led him to write "A Noble Paradise," a semi-autobiographical story of one man’s fight to keep his children despite false accusations, and preserve a new love that has come into his life.
