In the beginning, there was a song. I've been convicted to write for most of my life. It feels like the most authentic way for me to serve God and serve people. It feels like purpose, and I'm passionate about finding my true purpose. Who's not?! I called my first book "God Help Her" because I'll surely need it. My prayer is that I can write with vulnerability and authenticity, in a way that will move others to search for their purpose. I was thinking about this while driving one day, and asked, "God, what do I write?" Getting no immediate inspiration, I got frustrated and flipped on the radio. It was set to K-Love, and out of the speakers blared, "Write your story, write your story, write your story." I laughed. Then I cried. Now, I write. It's lightness, humor, darkness, humility, death, grace, miracles, failures...it's the best tool I have for exploring the human experience. I hope that you'll be moved. May you be blessed, JCW
