Jason Soule is a longtime educator, children’s pastor, and now author. He is passionate about creating stories that kids want to read and parents feel good about sharing. With over 25 years of experience working with children in classrooms, churches, and camps, Jason understands what captures a young reader’s imagination and what builds character along the way.

His debut middle-grade novel, Secrets of the Sofa, is a mystery-adventure full of humor, heart, and just the right amount of mischief. It follows three boys who discover a stash of hidden money inside an old couch—and quickly learn that secrets (and people) aren’t always what they seem.

Jason writes with real kids in mind—especially those who would rather explore a creek than sit still, who ask a million questions, and who may not always feel seen in books. His stories offer laughter, suspense, and teachable moments woven naturally into the fun.

When he’s not writing, Jason enjoys hiking in the mountains of Northern California, laughing with his family around a good meal, and finding adventures with his grandsons. Above all things his heart longs to cheer kids on in all their wonderfully messy, curious, and creative stages.

For parents looking for clean, engaging fiction with heart, Jason Soule is an author to watch.
